If Edward wants to make her so happy, why does he buy Bella cars she
doesn´t like? I understand the Mercedes, it is to keep her safe from
missiles and tanks, but she never actually drives the Ferrari - she
chooses the Volvo when she goes to Seattle... Why would he choose that
car for her? To make fun of her? He knows she hates presents

Because he's a male and we all know what there like when it comes to car's it's really just an excuse for him to buy another car lol...
Though I would think he expects Bella to change her opinion of it after she becomes a vampire after all the rest of the Cullen family seem to like fast cars..
Not a very practical family car mind you can’t be taking Renesmee out a spin in that lol
